2012 Workshop

My next scheduled workshop is at the Dakota Art Center in Mt. Vernon, Washington, on April 19-22.

The Nuts & Bolts of Painting in Water Media
Painting style and success are directly related to artist supplies and technique. Trying out new tools, supplies and approaches can radically alter your style. This class will include instructor demonstrations, discussion and review of a wide variety of media, tools, and techniques in aqueous mixed media painting. The instructor will demonstrate watercolor, gouache, acrylic, and watercolor crayon media. Concepts of painting composition and design will be emphasized throughout the class.

Workshop students will be invited to "show & tell" any new and/or unusual approaches of their own. Group and individual critiques will be available.

All painting styles and abilities are welcome. This class focuses on experimentation.
